Library Flow On A July Afternoon

Footsteps glide across plush
carpet. A striped sea of grays,

reds, and blues populate a quiet
climate, crawling along every

square inch of this wilderness—
cosmos meets interior design.

Muted laughs scale walls,
like Miles exhaling renaissance

in a small recording studio. I
burden my Muse for a phrase

or maybe just a few words
to create meaning from this

puzzle or peculiar moment.
Trying to stretch wings or sculpt

visions, like a DJ mixing classic
Soul records in the park.
