Warm Water Bottles

The climate whirls
as we pass by it
pedaling like paradise
is at the end of the street
where a semi-circle
forms into what
we define as heaven
Life is simple to understand
when family values bubble to the top
of the day    We
giggle like children
that stand at bus stops
in the winter
I hear Miles providing the soundtrack
or maybe Thelonious stretching
his fingertips on the keys
memorizing the way
we laugh at the heat
and the warm water bottles
that never survive
