“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.” –Marianne Williamson
Allergic to nation-building and the rich blues of the Diaspora.
Them reparations checks keep xenophobes mentally enslaved,
shucking and jiving for quasi- liberation, for a sense of American-
NESS. Mediocre. It must be a cool existence to cozy up to neocolonialism
and imperialism, casting shared connections aside, like children
looking for estranged parents. Things occupy this space. Clever
hash-tags will never be freedom. Emotional rants sidestep the Root,
like She has the plague. Them bodies arrive at the Party with
death crawling along flesh and graying ideas circling their minds.
