Dopamine Drip From Cracked Pipes

Don’t chase the temporary
high of click bait and sophisticated
ways to steal attention. We
have been reduced to mindlessly
scrolling for our enslavement–
prisoners trapped behind walls,
claiming we are free because
the Constitution says so. Silly
rationales have value. The
paradigm remains. Instead,
I lift fingers to rebel, to soothe,
to heal, and to break with
poisonous cherry pies and
American desserts filled with
tiny, razor-sharp shards of
glass. Nobody enjoys chewing
pieces of insight or wisdom
anymore. No patience. Discipline
is a hostage. We tend to fixate
on information vomited by
insatiable bots, hungrily ruling
our lives from virtual spaces.
A gray freedom. Passive. Or
a subtle type of dopamine
dripping from cracked pipes.
