Lion’s_Mouth

Diving into the Lion’s mouth
to feel the warmth of the other

side. This experience is urgent
and needed. Hustle to the bag.

Hustle to be free. Hustle to eat
and rage against the machine.

The mantras are endless. The
reps continue. Infinite. A sea that

has adapted to a gentle motion.
Ebb and flow, a gambler praying

over dice. Brutal. Suppressing the
savagery of nations. A mask.

Expansive wounds refuse to heal.
They value dysfunction. Fling myself

into the teeth of the machine.
The brutality drives culture, but they

play in our faces, shucking and jiving
across pulpits and stages and

screens, losing their souls in the folds
of polluted creed. This American

thing is complex, a child with a scarred
face, dreaming about AI generated

beauty or decay. People accept smoke-
screens as parts of crooked culture.

Refuse to salute stolen prayers and
leaders who sport big red, white, and

blue clown noses. The circus show is
a church for devoted donkeys and

elephants, a place to kneel at the altar
of decay.
